Personal Portfolio of a Career Music Educator
Emily Wylie is currently a vocal music education major at James Madison University. A member of The Madison Singers and The JMU Chorale, Emily serves the Choral Area as assistant to the Director of Choral Activities, where she supports choral events and ensemble management. Currently, the Vice President of JMU's Student Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Emily has participated in internships with the Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir (SVCC) and the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community (VMRC) Intergenerational Choir. In her spare time, Emily teaches private voice and tutors JMU undergraduates in musicology. She loves to cook, run, hug her cats, and spend time with family and friends. Upon graduation, Emily plans to teach choral music at the secondary level.
